The Secrets of Monkey Island’s Source Code (gamehistory.org)

The video at the top of this page appears to be a five hour video, but it looks like it was a recording of the stream on the day, and the first 2.5h of the video stars just the “please wait for the stream to start” holding page.

Similarly there’s about an hour of that same landing page at the end of the video, so in reality there’s about an hour and a half of real video in the YouTube link.

I almost didn’t watch it in principle because I didn’t have 5h to watch it, but when I quickly scrubbed through I found out it wasn’t as bad as I feared (timing wise).

"You code like a dairy farmer!"

"How appropriate, you code like a cow!"

This was a fun video, glad I bought a "ticket" to support them when it was made.

Anyone know what happened to the Limited Run Games thing? I am not sure I would pay for the full box, but I might. :D

Luckily, the page has already been archived by IA: https://web.archive.org/web/20201121002500/https://gamehisto... and the videos still seem to be available on YT.

Is Disney to thank for the takedown?

I hope not. This article seems to be an improved version of this one: https://gamehistory.org/gallery/making-of-monkey-island/ from April and it's still there.

The first paragraph of the deleted article: "This is new text content! I made it it’s new!", unless I missed the reference, makes me think that someone pushed on the publish button too early.

I see that the article has been republished under the same URL.
