Anyone know the backstory behind Apple including logo stickers in their products?
I own lots of Apple products and thus I have a bunch of stickers, but I can't think of any surface I'd stick them on. They'd just seem misplaced. I once stuck one on the back of a Samsung monitor, but it just looked silly.
On the other hand, I remember decades ago Apple had a car decal with the old rainbow Apple logo that was captioned "I'd rather be driving a Macintosh". I noticed them on cars and it actually made me think the driver was part of an exclusive club (Macintoshes were expensive back then)
The "Think Different" bumper stickers were iconic. I'd stick one on my car if I had one.
and the author of the article has 23 years of unused stickers in an envelope in a drawer, illustrating why its good for the author that apple is stopping
