It is a breath of fresh air Compared to other software and hardware VPNs I've had the misfortune of knowing (like the time I tried to run OpenVPN software on an AWS instance that was too small to save money and it went crazy swapping and ran up a $300/month bill)

Me neither. I never bought the argument of "your ISP can't be trusted with your internet privacy, so give all your internet traffic to someone else you don't know (and don't trust because you've never heard of this company until now)."

That said, VPNs could be useful to get around geo-restrictions, or if you want to roam the high seas.
