I took quantum physics with Prof. Kroemer. At the beginning it was standing room only with about 30 students. By the time finals came around there were six of us. Brutal. I've got some stories about that guy. RIP.

I first read about prof Kroemer when I was researching on semiconductor heterojunctions. Later on I learnt about his lemma and his quote always stayed with me

>The principal applications of any sufficiently new and innovative technology always have been – and will continue to be - applications created by that technology.
