that is really interesting! About a decade ago, I worked on a coca cola flavoring. The recipe that I located involved eight essential oils, so I formulated them in a certain "vehicle" and submitted it to a tasting panel. The scent of it was spot on, but the flavor was not. This was written off as due to the absence of large amounts of sweetener. But now I may know another part of the reason. Very interesting, thank you
